Chiropractic care is a hands-on approach that focuses on the spine and nervous system, aiming to help the body function as effectively as possible. Chiropractors use gentle adjustments to correct misalignments, reduce tension, and improve communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
For babies with reflux, chiropractic care can sometimes be helpful because tension or misalignment in the neck or spine can affect digestion and overall comfort. Gentle adjustments may help a baby move more freely, relax more easily, and potentially reduce discomfort after feeds.
While chiropractic care is not a guaranteed cure for reflux and every baby is different, many parents find it a supportive, non-invasive option that complements other strategies like feeding techniques, positioning, and diet changes.
Our experience
Visiting a chiropractor helped us discover that our daughter had tension at the top of her back and lower neck. Using a very gentle touch, the chiropractor identified an area that caused her noticeable discomfort when lightly massaged. This was an important breakthrough for us, as we began to suspect it might be connected to the root cause of her reflux.
We followed his guidance and attended a few appointments, but unfortunately, we didn’t see much improvement. It wasn’t until we tried craniosacral therapy that the tension was truly relieved, and we finally saw a real difference in her comfort and reflux symptoms.
