When my baby was just six days old, she developed severe reflux. What followed was the hardest time of my life. Watching her struggle, cry in discomfort, unable to lie down without vomiting, and feeling helpless as she vomited on us endlessly, I was overwhelmed with despair and desperate for help. For almost five months, I held her upright for every nap and all night sleep, just to give her a few moments of comfort and rest. Over those months, I spent so much of the day and nightresearching ways to improve her symptoms, trying everything I could think of to ease her pain.
Through this journey, I learned something important: reflux is a symptom, not a diagnosis. That meant there wasn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, it was about finding the root cause and learning how to manage it effectively.
What shocked me the most was seeing so many parents going through the same thing and how some people exploit this desperation. They charge large amounts of money for support and advice – advice that is often freely available online if you know where to look. It felt unfair that parents in their most stressful moments were being targeted, while medical professionals often offered little help, saying “other than discomfort, your baby is healthy and fine, they’ll grow out of it” and sending families home with no guidance, no support and no remedy.
I wanted to do things differently. That’s why I’ve created this website:
- To put all the information in one place so parents don’t have to spend endless hours piecing together advice.
- To share what I’ve learned, including tips from research, medical professionals, and personal experience.
- To provide a free, supportive resource that parents can trust without feeling exploited.
This site is for parents who feel lost, overwhelmed, or desperate to help their baby. My goal is to make this journey a little easier, so no parent has to feel alone while caring for a reflux baby.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you find the advice, reassurance, and support you need here.
